you. are. more.
Today I want to start off by telling you this. You are more than what people say about you. You are more than the lies Satan tries to feed you. You are more than the mistakes you have made in the past. You are more than your outward appearance.
You. Are. More.
Feeling like you are alone is a very serious thing. From experience, I went through a season of loneliness. This is something I had never experienced before. I was unaware of how serious this could be and wasn’t prepared for what the outcome might hold. If you knew me personally you would probably think to yourself, how in the world could you possibly of felt lonely? Well, here’s a little background about my life. I have grown up in a fairly large family of five, I attend a youth group with hundreds of students, and have a best friend whom I've known since I was three years old. I am constantly surrounded by people who love and encourage me. Knowing these facts, you can imagine how shocking it was for me to feel this way. It definitely took me off guard. I wondered how is it that I am surrounded by so many people, but yet I felt so alone inside. The Lord spoke to me in my car one day as I was driving to work. He said to me in a whisper, “I am here, I have never left your side.” When I heard those words I realized that it was all just a lie that I aloud to creep into my mind. I realized that the devil had tricked me into believing that I was all alone and had no one. From that moment on I began to dig deeper into my Bible and the Lord started to reveal and unfold every negative thought that came to my mind and turned it into a positive one. He restored my heart from feeling alone and worthless to wanted and adored.
I want to tell you that yes, satan will try and attack you. He will feed you lies about yourself to make you think that you are unworthy, unloved, powerless, unwanted, fake, dumb, lonely, worthless. When you are closest to Christ that’s going to be his number one goal to try and pull you away. I believe we all feel alone sometimes, it’s inevitable. But I have good news for you. You don’t have to let the enemy take hold of your life. You don’t have to settle for mediocre or being okay with how your life is. With the strength we have from reading our Bibles, worshiping our savior, reaching out to people in our community, and most of all a God who supports and loves us unconditionally, we can get through all of the labels the enemy tries to put on us. We have a God in heaven who loves and adores us for who we are. He tells us in the Bible that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:14). He tells us that he has a hope and a future and a specific purpose for our life (Jeremiah 29:11). He says that we are treasured by him. I overcame the lies that satan tried to feed me and have never felt more wanted in my entire life because of the goodness the Lord has showed me. Value the imagine God sets on you, no one else.
Romans 8:37-39 says this,
"Know, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
My goal for you today is say to your self "I AM MORE!" These three words can make a huge impact on your life. They have mine!

“You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.”
